The memorable atmosphere of its nearby neighbour, but much more famous, Little Gidding, can be found in this thoroughly rural and tranquil church. With its delightful 14th-century steeple, a reduced size version of the renowned spires in the adjacent Northamptonshire, and a Norman doorway that leads to an interior now housing few furnishings, it gives a sense of time standing still.
