This is an 1827 designed church, set back from the seafront, in an Italian Renaissance style that is thoroughly compatible with the surrounding squares and terraces, having been built to serve the needs of the rapidly expanding resorts of Hove and Brighton. It was extended sixty years later and further beautified in 1925 with embellishments to make it even more pronouncedly Italian. A number of fine monuments commemorate distinguished worshippers at the peak of its life as a Christian fellowship.
