This is a basically simple rural Norman church, as seen in the round tower, the fine doorway, and the abundance of carved heads, with a battered stone 13th-century porch, and later medieval windows, that all hint of a time of considerable stature. As with nearby Hales (q.v.) and Heckingham(q.v.), the impression of the church is magnified by its setting, with views of old farms and woods.
